How to Root OnePlus X Easily [ Step by Step Guide]

Now you can Root your One Plus X Easily.

Follow our guide below to download the update and install it yourself.

Since this is an unofficial build of TWRP recovery for the OnePlus X, don’t expect it to be fully functional. However, the basics of TWRP recovery like flashing a zip file, taking nandroid backup and using MTP while in recovery, of course works well even on this early and unofficial OnePlus X TWRP build.

What you need to get TWRP recovery installed on your OnePlus X is just an unlocked bootloader, which is very likely supported under your device’ warranty, thanks to the humble warranty policy OnePlus usually follows for its devices.

÷ How to Root OnePlus X

 Download SuperSU Root package .

Step 1. Unlock bootloader of your OnePlus X.

Step 2. Install OnePlus X TWRP Recovery.

Step 3. Download the SuperSU file from above. If you downloaded it on PC, then be sure to transfer it to OnePlus X.

 Step 4. Boot your OnePlus X intoRecovery mode:

Power off your device and wait for 3-4 seconds after screen goes off.Press and hold Power and Volume Down together for like 4-5 seconds and then let go.

You’ll see TWRP recovery. In case you don’t see it, check out link in step 2 above to install TWRP.

Step 5. [Optional] Once in TWRP, create abackup of your device. Tap on Backup, and then select all the partitions for back. Now do the swipe action at bottom to start creating a backup for emergency cases. This backup is really a lifesaver!

Step 6. Now, install the SuperSU file to rootyour OnePlus X. On TWRP’s homescreen, tap on Install, and then locate the SuperSU file and tap on it. Then do the Swipe action at bottom to begin flashing the SuperSU file.

Step 7. When it’s done, tap on Reboot system button to restart the device.
