How to Install Android 7.1 Nougat Pixel UI ROM on Lenovo A7000 [Full Pixel Experience]

Developer HDHR has just released a custom ROM for Lenovo A7000 that has Google Pixel features like Google Assistant, Pixel launcher, Blue theme and others built-in.

HDHR is calling the ROM Pixel UI and it’s based on AOSP. Alongside Pixel features, Pixel UI ROM also features Gapps built-in so you don’t have to find & flash a compatible Gapps package separately via recovery.

The ROM, however, has certain issues that are yet to be fixed but it’s very much functional and can be used as a daily driver. Below are the known/bugs issues with the ROM (as of Nov 24, 2016).

•Offline charging screen messed up

•Some sensor doesn’t works.

÷ How to Install Android 7.1 Nougat Pixel UI ROM on Lenovo A7000 [Full Pixel Experience] 

1- Download Android 7.1 Nougat Pixel UI ROM for Lenovo A7000 and transfer the custom ROM you wish to flash to your device’s storage.

2- Boot your device into TWRP recovery.

Select “Wipe” from TWRP main menu and do a “Swipe to Factory Reset” on the bottom of screen.

└ Note: This will factory reset your device. If your custom ROM doesn’t require a factory reset, then simply skip this step.

3- Go back to TWRP main menu, tap on “Install” and select the custom ROMs .zip file that you transferred to your device in Step 1.

4- After selecting the .zip file, do “Swipe to Confirm Flash” on the bottom of screen to begin the custom ROM installation process. This may take some time.

5- Once your ROM is successfully flashed, you’ll see “Wipe cache/dalvik” option, select it and then do “Swipe to wipe” on bottom of screen.

6- Once cache & dalvik wipe completes, hit the “Back” button on-screen and then select “Reboot System” button.

That’s all. Your device will now reboot with the custom ROM you just flashed. Since this will be the first reboot after flashing a new ROM, it might take some time to rebuild cache and finish boot, have patience.
